Flooding Closes Riverfront Park – UPDATE: PARK REOPENED APRIL 8, 2024

For safety reasons, Riverfront Park has been closed due to weather and projected flooding conditions.  It’s unsure how long the park will be closed.  Please do not attempt to enter park while park gates are closed.  

Long Lane To Be Closed For Bridge Repair – Starting April 3, 2024

The first phase of repairs to the Long Lane bridge over Donegal Creek (between Route 441 and Route 23) is currently scheduled to start Wednesday, April 3, 2024.  During this time the bridge will be closed to traffic. The planned demolition, and reconstruction, of the bridge wingwalls is expected to take a month to complete.

Please plan accordingly.

Note that the start/completion date is weather dependent and is subject to change, sometimes without prior notice.

This is the first of a two-phase improvement project to the bridge and the intersection of Long Lane and Route 441.  The second phase, to be undertaken later this summer, will involve improvements to the underside of the bridge and to the Long Lane/Route 441 intersection.
